The aim of the Zittauer Gebirge nature park is the development of a network of partnerships with neighbouring regional bodies in the Czech Republic as well as with united institutions, which have competently taken over some tasks of nature park management over the years.

Since 2003 Großschönau and the health resort Waltersdorf have been creating this community. Now this community has been joined by a multitude of tourist attractions in the ideally situated Waltersdorf, which is without a doubt one of the most beautiful health resorts in the Zittauer Gebirge.
