On the go without a car in the Zittauer Gebirge park
It's easy to get around in the Zittauer Gebirge park without a car. There are numerous options to get from A to B in our Outdoor Land via local public transit services:
The regional transit network, ZVON, will take you to your next bike tour or hike via bus and rail. It's also easy to get to your next competition in the Zittauer Gebirge park without a car.
Zittauer Gebirge park is located at the centre of the tri-border area; your next excursion or tour is located right around the corner from Poland and the Czech Republic. The best deal is ZVON's EURO-NEISSE-TICKET, which allows you to use the public transit system without any limits.
A ride on the Zittau narrow-gauge train (SOEG) in the Outdoor Land is also a real experience. The narrow-gauge rail operates along the Zittau - Bertsdorf - Oybin resort/Jonsdorf resort route under steam power, just like during our grandparents' time. The train operates the entire year. The route between Zittau and Oybin amounts to 12 kilometers, and it's 13 kilometers to Jonsdorf. There are seven or eight stops between the start and the destination. The trip duration is approx. 50 minutes.
