How about a pretty, relatively short connecting tour of the two public pool areas via side streets, forest trails, and field paths? From the 'Haus am See' hotel, pass by the camping area in the direction of Bertsdorf. The peaceful town streets in the town lead you past pretty traditional houses. A view of the Zittauer Gebirge mountains is also possible from here. Next you will reach Jonsdorfer Strasse, which you will follow for 160 m and then turn right off of, immediately following which you will turn left onto a field path. Now for the round about: 466 m around the Pocheberg. In the summer, pay attention to the fences on the pastures – these are usually removed by fall.
Shortly before you descend the dome, you'll have a wonderful view of the highest point in the Zittauer Gebirge park, the Lausche. This is also the best view Jonsdorf and its cliff village. Now cross over Grossschönauer Strasse and take the hairpin curve, which is followed by a forest trail. Now you're on the Strümpfeweg, which takes you to Saalendorf. All that remains is a small section of village street before you turn right onto a flat forest trail. This takes you directly to your destination, the Grossschönauer Waldstrandbad pool area.
