The Oybin spa resort, which lies deep in the valley, is the pulsing centre of the Zittauer Gebirge area, surrounded by a crown of green mountains. The centre features beehive-like sandstone cliffs of the Oybin mountain. As early as 1873, Oybin was inducted into the Verband sächsischer Sommerfrischen, and in the year 1930, Oybin received the official distinction of spa resort.

Imbedded in the heart of this splendid fairytale mountain world, the climatic spa of Lückendorf is the south-eastern resort of the Zittauer Gebirge area and of Saxony. It's located at an altitude of 500 to 550 meters above sea level. It is recommended by doctors especially since the forests that surround it guarantee mild, pure air. The mountain ridges also keep out the wind, making Oybin an oasis in the Zittauer Gebirge park for spa vacations and relaxation.
