Sledding slopes
Whether with family or with friends - the sledding slope in the Outdoor Land during the winter is great for speedy descents.
Kurort Oybin
[Johannisstein (800 m, 55 altitude):
- on the northern slope of the Johannisstein
- Sledding slope at the rope tow
- Parking: large, fee-based parking lot on Jonsdorfer Strasse immediately beside the grounds
Hochwald sled run (2.5 km, 312 altitude):
- from the northern slope of the Hochwald until the old sledding track in Oybin
- approx. 2-kilometer long sledding trail including 300 meters of vertical
- Lighting upon request (contact Hochwaldbaude lodge: +49 35844 70232)
Hoppehang (185 m, 26 altitude):
- on the northern slope of the Hochwald
- approx. 200 meters of descent
- the ski and sledding trails are not separated
- Parking: fee-based parking lot on Jonsdorfer Strasse or parking lots at the corner of Jonsdorfer Str./Grenzstraße or above at the Kammbaude lodge
Almankawiese (84 m, 10 altitude):
- Small sledding slope in the centre of Oybin
- across from the Gasthof Almanka inn
- the gentle slope is also suitable for smaller riders
- Very pretty view of the mountain church and the castle ruins
- Parking: on the neighbouring street or approx. 500 meters away, fee-based parking at Friedrich-Engels-Str.
Thomasweg (1,2 km, 120 altitude):
- approx. 1.2-kilometer long hiking trail including 120 meters of vertical
- Parking: free parking available at Stern
Alte Hainstraße (510 m, 66 altitude):
- former street towards the Hain area
- alternative continuation of the Hochwald sledding trail, also illuminated
- parking available at the starting and end points
Idiotenwiese (162 m, 66 altitude):
- very popular slope for the very small
- parking available on the neighbouring side of the street
Lückendorf
Burmeisterhang (548 m, 69 altitude):
- on Kammstrasse, beside the hotel and restaurant with a view of the Hochwald
- pretty, long, wide sledding slope with ideal inclines
- Parking: a few free parking spots directly on the slope or fee-based hotel parking lot
Erholungsort Waltersdorf
Am Butterberg (163 m, 21 altitude):
- pretty, extensive sledding slope with a splendid view of the Lausche
- a playground connects at the bottom
- Parking: fee-based parking lot at the end of the slope
"Eisgasse" (1.9 km, 215 altitude):
- at the Neu Sorge ski slope at the southern slope Ottoberg
- Parking: free parking along Neu Sorge street
Ski area at the Lausche (203 m, 31 altitude):
- Sledding slope on the edge of the ski area
- Parking: fee-based, public parking on Windgasse approx. 1 kilometer away, a few privately available parking spots directly at the ski area

Lauscheweg / Hohlsteinweg (942 m, 109 altitude)

- Slope immediately beside the Jonsdorf train station
- Half of the ski slope may be used by sledders
- Parking: directly on the edge of the road or at the fee-based parking lot on Zittauer Straße
